Welcome to Maison Belmont Eymet. First of all thank you for choosing us!

We want to make you feel at home and also hope you will make the most of your stay with us in our gorgeous corner of Dordogne. Please read on to discover more about the services we offer you as well as advice on places to visit during your stay. 

Your hosts - Mark & Paul

Mark was born & raised in Sevenoaks, Kent (UK) and spent his career as an interiors buyer for well-known department stores such as Habitat, Harrods and Selfridges and then as Head of Product Development for the UKs leading lighting & interiors company.

 

Although born in Cheshire, UK,  Paul was raised in Sydney, Australia where most of his family still live. Paul spent his early career in Australia and then in the UK as a teacher in secondary education specialising in History and Classics and went on to become a school in an Assistant Headteacher role until his early retirement in July 2015.

 

Toby the Labrador is a key member of the Maison Belmont team. As Head of Meet and Greet his responsibilities include welcoming guests with a soft toy and sleeping.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served from 09.00 in the Conservatory overlooking our garden. Please let us know if you have any particular dietary requirements. Should you require an earlier breakfast please let us know on the previous evening

Toby

Toby is our beloved Labrador/Beauceron cross rescue dog - he is 8 years old and you have probably already met him and perhaps one of his toys.  He is a quiet gentle boy, who will come and say hello if you are in the garden - he loves lying in the fulll sunshine - please dont give him any food snacks, even when he gives a pleading look - he is just taller and slimmer than a pure Lab, but is still very well fed 

 

Room servicing

Your room will be serviced daily between 12.00 and 13.00hrs. We will replenish your drinking water and change towels if requested.

 

Check out

Please vacate your room by 11.00 on your day of departure. If you prefer a late check out please inform us and we will do our best to meet your needs. You can leave your luggage with us for the day. We accept payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash. 

 

No smoking please

Please remember the house and garden are no-smoking areas. This includes both cigarettes, cigars and vapes.

 

WiFi

The Wi-Fi network is Maison Belmont and the password is Pericles430. The network works well throughout the house and garden - let us know if you have any issues (or need to print any document etc)

Guest salon

Please feel free to use the guest salon which has a selection of books, plus Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime

Note that the table and floors lamps are on programmed timers so you don't need to worry about turning them on/off

 

Room rates (breakfast included)

Jardin and Boulevard 125 euros.

Clocher 110 euros

 

Ironing and Laundry service

We offer a complimentary ironing service - use the hooks on the landing but be sure to let us know. We can also wash and dry your clothes, the price being €10 per bag. A laundry bag is in your bathroom drawer

 

Water

2 x 1 litre bottles of filtered water are provided in your room, this water is replenished daily. The local tap water is perfectly safe to drink. 

 

Garden

Our garden is yours to enjoy during your stay. Please use plastic glasses from the conservatory only please. Pool towels can be found in the drawer under your bathroom sink.

We are blessed with a great selection of restaurants here in the Eymet and the surrounding area : we are happy to talk you through dining choices and make reservations for you. In high summer these often need to be done a day or so in advance

More a pub than café but a real social hub with an extensive range of beers, wines, and cocktails. A great choice of food with the friendliest staff in town. Great for people watching on a summers evening

A simple bar (with ice cream counter) overlooking the main square.  Service can be so-so, but a great location

 

La Cour d’Eymet

Traditional formal French food with a focus on regional specialties. In summer meals are served in a pretty courtyard.

Located across from the main church, offering a great selection of fresh home made pizzas, made by David and served by his partner Audrey.  Eat in (garden or inside) and takeaway

Hugely popular. Located between Paco and Andine in Place Gambetta. Great pizza, pasta, grills, fish and veggie options. No bookings.

A great selection of teas, coffees, cakes and light lunches, open Tuesday to Saturday from 0900 to 1600
